If anything is inspiring this is it for me this year: The Art Journal Caravan.

I’m not sure whether it’s because of the colors and quirky elements Tangie encourages us to work with or the big amount of people that do the same. Anyway, it’s a very inspiring group and the layouts I’ve seen from others and were doing myself are far from the usual stuff we see and very surprising.

For me as a designer it’s also inspiring in another way. I already see that I want to design thingies for the Caravan, instead of designing for my Studio only. So I think I’m becoming more of a artsy fartsy designer now. Let’s see what this is all leading us

It’s all about accepting that I live in a country with seasons and I don’t have the feeling that I really belong here. I think I have that feeling as long as I can remember: I’m a true tropical type. I cannot like seasons. I’m never one with the seasons. I always have to be angry as it comes to seasons. Okay, they’re nice to see. That’s all, to my opinion. I don’t give a d… I am allergic to cold and snow and ice. The allergy for a cold temperature is even real: I get nettle ray every time my skin feels to low temperatures. I cannot live without my pills in Winter, because without I would have a very red and swollen face and hands and I would be scratching in every place I could.

Okay, and it is cold and slippery in Holland right now and I am easily scared in traffic when it comes to this weather.

Here’s a photo I made last week. Yeah, I know it’s beautiful. But when I’ll live in the tropics, please send me postcards with this.

Okay, so now you know I’m a weeny when it comes to cold weather.
